Error Message Displayed to user

  • E74
  • Emergency Stop Drive Trip.

Condition

The consoles Emergency stop switch (i.e. E-Stop) drive circuitry detected a shorted condition.

Cause

  • E-Stop switch components damaged
  • Cable to E-Stop circuit pinched
  • E-Stop circuitry Printed Circuit Board under bridge (Integrity SL)
  • Activity Zone Printed Circuit Board is disconnected or a bad connection (Elevation, Discover SE4, and Symbio console)
  • Control Pad Printed Circuit Board is disconnected or a bad connection (Symbio Runner)
  • Fitcore Printed Circuit Board is bad (Explore, Discover SE4, and Integrity SL console)
  • Incompatible base SKU. This can happen when consoles are swapped between bases. (PowerMill and Integrity SL console)

Remedy

  • Ensure E-Stop sensor is in position and secure
  • Ensure E-Stop cable is in good condition and not pinched
  • Ensure E-Stop circuitry PCB under bridge is connected, seat and re-seat connection (Integrity SL)
  • Life Pulse and Activity Zone connected, unseat and reseat (Elevation)
  • Fitcore bad or console main base P14 cable connection
  • Main board bad or console main base SIG J2 cable connection (Integrity SL)
  • Fitcore bad or console main base P14 cable connection (Discover SE4 only)
  • Control pad cable disconnected (Symbio Runner)

For incompatible base SKU on PowerMills with Integrity SL console.

Option 1:
Using the base.txt file, reprogram the base SKU and base serial number, see the following link for reprogramming base SKU and serial number. Life Fitness Integrity SL Console Errors E148, E149, E150, E157
Option 2:
  • In the event Option 1 doesn't work, order and replace the base MDB board. This will be clear of any base SKU / ATO and serial number information.
  • Using the base.txt file reprogram the MDB following the link information in Option 1.
