Symbio Console, Offline Software Update Procedure

Required: USB Stick with minimum 4GB.
USB Installation Instructions and Updating Board Firmware via the Console.
  1. Power up the unit.
  2. Wait until the unit is properly booted to the Attract Screen.
  3. Download the Symbio Console software zip file from Product Software Release Center and extract the contents of that zip file on the top level root directory on any Windows formatted FAT32 USB stick.

  4. Insert USB stick into USB port in front panel.
    Note: Make sure the USB port spring loaded door is lifted and USB is fully seated.
  5. The console auto-detects the software package and proceeds with the installation.
  6. Update process is approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
    Base firmware will be updated during installation, if necessary.
  7. The system will return to the Attract Screen after the update completes.
    3rd party apps are installed remotely and would be installed only if the product is connected to the network.
  8. Select Language icon from Attract Screen to access the Select Language screen.
  9. Tap the bottom part of the Select Language screen in the following sequence: Lower-Left, Lower-Right, Lower-Left, Lower-Right.
    Note: Make sure you tap INSIDE the black square!
  10. Console Software version will appear at the top of System Options.
  11. Tap InformationSoftware Versions:.
    • Software build version will be at the very top of the screen.
    • Android OS and Fitcore OS will be listed in the first column.
