Bridge Assembly

  1. Using their front uprights as markers, space the racks apart based on the size of bridge (12-20 ft / 3.6-6.0 m) being installed.

  2. Half racks with 21 inch/53.3 centimeter depth, and all power racks will require the bridge crossover weldment. Half racks with 15 inch/38.1 centimeter depth do not require the bridge crossover weldment.

  3. For half racks with 21 inch/53.3 centimeter storage depth and all power racks, measure the front of the cross member to the front of the upright before installing.
    Important: The 21 inch/53.3 centimeter storage depth half rack will use the rear and middle cross member bolt holes whereas the power rack will use the front and rear cross member bolt holes. See orientations below:

  4. For half racks with 21 inch/53.3 centimeter storage depth and all power racks, position the bridge cross member so its holes face upward. For half racks, position the bridge cross member so its rectangular holes face forward. For power racks, position the bridge cross member so its rectangular holes face rearward. Install bridge cross member and tighten hardware to 20-25 ft-lbs / 27.1-33.8 Nm.

  5. Install the gusset plate to the end beam and tighten hardware to 20-25 ft-lbs / 27.1-33.8 Nm.
    Important: The gusset plate will always face the outside of the rack.

  6. Install the end beam, with the gusset plate facing outward, to the right side of the half rack and tighten hardware to 45-50 ft-lbs / 61.0-67.7Nm.

  7. Install the end beam, with the gusset plate facing outward, to the left side of the power rack and tighten hardware to 45-50 ft-lbs / 61.0-67.7Nm.

  8. Install the mid weldment to the end beams and tighten hardware to 45-50 ft-lbs / 61.0-67.7Nm.

  9. Monkey bars can be installed on the top, bottom, or staggered on the bridge. Check with customer's preference before installing. Additional monkey bars (ELT-MB) can also be purchased and added separately.

    Install the monkey bar weldment to the mid weldment and end beams, then tighten hardware to 20-25 ft-lbs / 27.1-33.8 Nm.
